Why Lisa Works With Several Energy Healing Systems
I work with several energy healing systems during sessions because I feel that it would be impossible to state that any of them are complete healing systems, therefore I choose to integrate them all into my client's sessions. I do not make any claims that the systems combined together are now complete either, to me they are just a bigger part of the Whole, combined as One for a powerful session. Each of the energy healing systems grounds varying frequencies. During healing sessions, I integrate all of the energies from these systems, and through guidance, allow the recipient’s higher self to draw upon whatever frequencies and symbols would best serve their needs at the time of the session.
Reiki - A Gentle Therapy
Reiki Energy Healing is a form of hands on healing that stimulates our natural healing process and enhances our ability to attain balance in our lives. Reiki is a gentle, yet profound, non-invasive therapy, which can facilitate stress-reduction and relaxation, support effective immune-system function, enhance the body’s self-healing mechanisms and replenish and nurture vitality.
The name Reiki identifies the wonderful therapeutic energy phenomenon, which lies at the heart of this natural healing system. Reiki is in its simplest translation --- Universal Life-Force Energy. It is the life force that exists in all things. The ‘Rei’ is often translated as ‘Universal’ and in essence, it refers to something Spiritual or Sacred and can mean Soul. ‘Ki’ is often translated simply as ‘Life-Force Energy’ yet also implies Spiritedness or Feelings. Thus, depending on ones perspective, Reiki can be understood as: Universal Life-Force Energy OR Spiritually Influenced Life-Force Energy.
The practice of Reiki is the art and science of channeling this universal life energy to promote spiritual, emotional, mental and physical well being. Reiki is not associated with any particular religion and can be used alongside any spiritual system. Rather than acting solely on a physical level, Reiki is holistic in its effect – eliciting a healing response across the entire spectrum of ones being – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It can prove beneficial in the resolving of physical disorders, nervous conditions and emotional issues, and help nurture a greater sense of balance, well-being and wholeness in ones life.
Reiki is a simple and powerful system of laying on of hands and remote healing that can transform lives. Reiki releases blocked energy, promotes relaxation and reduces stress. Reiki has an innate intelligence and goes wherever needed in the body, helping to cleanse the body of toxins. Reiki also works on plants and animals. Over time it can enhance intuition, meditation and personal spiritual evolution.
As Reiki involves directing the natural flow of universal energy, it can best be likened to recharging a battery. When a battery's energy supply is low, it doesn't function well. By introducing a charge to it, it can once again run on its own. Reiki works very much the same way. If you are suffering from an illness (physical, mental, emotional or spiritual) your energy supply is lessened. Reiki works to assist you in bringing your energy level back up to its natural flow, thereby enhancing your own natural healing.

Receiving Reiki Treatments
For the person receiving the Reiki at a distance, they can lie on their couch or bed or as well sit in a chair. The only participation required is a desire to let oneself relax and be open to the positive effects of the Reiki healing energy.
Reiki works if the hands are held a few inches above the body, actual contact is not necessary, that is why distance healing works. The practitioner just rests their hands on or above in various positions and runs the Reiki energy. This process is also sometimes known as ‘laying on of hands.’
The Reiki session usually lasts between 30 to 60 minutes, during which time, the recipient may experience heat, or become aware of tingling or pulsing sensations as the healing Reiki energy radiates from the facilitator’s hands and begins to effect positive change, and restore balance, through the recipient’s whole being. Reiki will even flow through a plaster cast AND across the world for that matter! You may see colours and you may not experience anything at all! You may even fall asleep during the treatment.
Most people report a deep state of relaxation and a feeling of well being. Many people report feeling both relaxed and energized and that they feel very rested. Regular use of Reiki leads to an increase in general vitality and well being and a sense of inner peace. It accelerates and promotes the healing process and is capable of improving the quality of one’s live to an amazing degree.
After the treatment you should drink plenty of water in order to help flush out any toxins that have been released by the Reiki energies. Energy treatments can produce changes and emotional processing. Sometimes due to the release of toxins and energetic blocks a recipient may briefly feel worse after a treatment rather than better. This is a rare side effect. 99% of the time there is nothing to worry about, simply let nature take its course. Naturally if you have a specific area of concern regarding your health you should consult a traditional medical practitioner. Reiki is a wonderful addition to conventional treatment but should not be used in place of it.
The therapeutic influence of the Reiki treatment continues to manifest for some time after the session ends. For this reason it is desirable (where possible) for the recipient to take things easy for a day or so, in order to gain the full benefits of their Reiki session.

If you have available, please hold a quartz crystal in your hand during the session. This will be infused with the Reiki Energies during your session. Then carry the quartz with you to continue receiving the healing energies long after the session has been completed! Does this cost more money? No. =)
Also if you are on any type of medication and would like it infused with Reiki Energies, simply lie the bottle or bottles beside you during the session. Does this cost more money? No. =)
If you would like for your pet to receive a healing along with yourself, place them close to your side during the session. Does this cost more money? No. =)
Have a baby you would like to offer a healing too? Place him/her on your stomach during the session. Does this cost more money? No, but I would like the baby's name. =)
An ill child, friend, loved one? Hold the persons hand during the session. Does this cost more money? No, but I would like the person's name. =)
Want some special family healing time? Make a circle and everyone join hands during the session. Does this cost more money? No, but I would like each person's name that will be in the circle.
